Women's Board

Formed in 1967, the Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital serves as a fundraising auxiliary Board to the hospital.  The Board is composed of 40 community leaders whose mission is to improve the health, education and overall wellness of children in the community through the direct support of Dayton Children's Hospital.

The Women’s Board plays a crucial role for the hospital through its fundraising support and representation around the Dayton community through Board member volunteerism and outreach.

Since its inception, the Women’s Board’s signature biennial fundraiser, cha|cha, has raised more than $8 million to support some of Dayton Children’s Hospital’s most critical needs.  Smaller fundraisers hosted throughout the Board year, engage the community at large all while raising important funds towards the Board’s cha|cha Cause.  The Women’s Board HELP Fund supports various patient experience projects and needs around the hospital, including the hospital’s annual Superhero Day.

You can find our Women’s Board members regularly giving back around the Dayton community through volunteerism and outreach with community partners, including the Dayton Food Bank, Hannah’s Treasure Chest and 4Paws for Ability to name a few.  To keep Board members engaged and connected to the hospital and its mission, the Child Life program provides unique opportunities for Board members to interact with patients and their caregivers by leading craft and other social activities.

Our Board members represent the best of the Dayton community, sharing diverse backgrounds and exceptional leadership styles while working together to go above and beyond for the children in our community.  Women’s Board members are the difference makers!

We believe all women can embrace who they are,
can define their future, and can change the world.
