​​The History of cha|cha

  • cha|cha, which stands for Children's Hospital Auxillary | Children’s Hospital Auction, is the signature biennial fundraising event of the Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital.

  • The first cha|cha took place on May 27, 1967, raising $35,000.

  • Since its inception, cha|cha has raised over $8 million for Dayton Children’s Hospital.

  • Funds have supported critical needs including the Patient Care Tower, specialized ICU Giraffe beds, Nurse Call alert systems, and behavioral and mental health services.

  • The event brings together over 500 attendees, including corporate partners, community leaders, donors, medical professionals, and volunteers.

  • cha|cha is Dayton’s #1 fundraiser and still features an elaborate auction that serves as the heart of the celebration.
