Our Cause
The Women’s Board of Dayton Children’s Hospital is working tirelessly to raise $1.3 million dollars through cha|cha to support critical, operational funding for the Child Life Program.
Funds raised from cha|cha 2026 will directly support:

Expansion of Sensory Services

Increase sensory equipment to create adaptable sensory environments.

Provide tools to support neurodiverse patients.

Offer sensory support for outpatient appointments.
Growing the Canine Co-Pilots Service Dog Program

Provide ongoing care and support for the facility service dogs.

Expand the program to reach more children.

Enhance the physical infrastructure with capital improvements.


Purchasing Innovative Technologies

Create an augmented reality program for distraction, to support transitions and improve pain management.

Enhance opportunities for patients to interact with facility dogs when they cannot visit in person through the use of tablets and programs such as Reality Paws.

Purchase UV Robot technology to clean and disinfect toys and sensory environments more efficiently.
Expanding Music Therapy Offerings

Add new technology to offer personalized care and programming.

Fund research infrastructure to study best practices that support patient and family emotional well-being.

Expand current offerings to reach more patients and caregivers.


Resources for Inpatient Playrooms

Offer age-appropriate toys to help children feel more comfortable.

Provide music corners and sensory spaces to normalize the hospital environment and enhance play opportunities.
